yeah. it was a great set.  easily the best show on thursday.

dont get me wrong..cluch was great too..the national was a bit of a disappointment.  hopefully the sound will be better when they play at the club this wednesday.

Did anyone else see Rodrigo y Gabriela?  Incredible. [/QUOTE]

I cannot believe you guys posted on a message board from Bonnaroo...

Anyway, I had to leave early Sunday afternoon due to a few obligations back here today, so unfortunatly I had to miss Ralph Stanley, The White Stripes and Wilco.  I did get to see:

 Rx Bandits
Lewis Black + Finesse Mitchell and two others
David Cross + Aziz Ansari + Nick Kroll (the weekend highlight for me, besides the Police)
Old Crow Medicine Show (finally, I always seem to miss their shows up here)
 Gogol Bordello
 Fountains of Wayne
 Franz Ferdinand
 The Police
Flight of the Conchord + Demetri Martin

All in all a good weekend...didn't get to see as many bands as last year, alot of the ones I wanted to see either played Thursday night (we rolled in at 7am Friday), Sunday afternoon or conflicted with bands I did see.  Also kind of passed out before the Flaming Lips (that all night drive Thursday finally caught up), and everyone seemed to be rubbing it in by raving about it the next day.

But besides the drought and the dust, the weather seemed slightly nicer than last year, except for Sunday, which was bloody awful...but whatever, I left early anyway that day.

Oh, and only one death this year!  Yay Bonnaroo!

i think most of these posts were from people who were watching the live bonnaroo stream online, not from people at the show!  :)

Sorry for the belated response. I actually went again this year, had a great time.

 thursday's thoughts:
 little ones= fun
black angels- play something slow and brooding, why dontcha?
mute math performs well but writes crappy music
nick kroll is only funny when he's not nick kroll, aziz ansari is funny for being aziz, and david cross is a funny person who tells great jokes.

 friday:
cold war kids are really cool
brazilian girls are even cooler but write boring tunes
KOL are good but could be better
the roots were awesome but need to play more roots tunes
tool was unbelievable. best show of the festival.
why oh why did I sleep through DJ Shadow?

 sat:
 old crow was good
 regina was good
 gogol was awesome
 annuals was good
 hold steady was great
 spoon was good
police were fun, but not as mind blowing as tool
flaming lips=good, not as crazy as I've heard they can be, and wayne needs to learn the art of shutting the fuck up

 sunday:
 don byron was ridiculous
 wolfmother was good
ralph stanley was fun, lots of gospel tunes
ornette coleman was great until he collapsed and was carried offstage. also, chicks apparently do not like free jazz at all, just weirdo college students and old hippies.
white stripes sounded awesome, I couldn't see them

i got a different vibe this year than i did last year, not sure why, maybe somebody else felt the same. i was exhausted for most of the festival, not getting enough sleep at all, that's probably why.

Unbelievable, can't belive you missed Clutch. I've seen some video footage and the crowd was so into it.

FYI . . . Not to be ungrateful, but that White Stripes mp3 download is actually the set from String Cheese Incident . . . .

Thanks so much for the link to the live sets!  I'm downloading a bunch right now, hopefully they sound alright.
Does anyone know of any recordings that Largehearted Boy didn't archive?  I'd love to have Rodrigo y Gabriela, Gogol Bordello, Manu Chao, and a few others.  Now I guess I'm getting greedy...    :p
