Some handy dandy tidbits for you first timers in case you don't get the e-mails:

Bonnaroo Facts You Should Know Before Arriving. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. You'll be happy you did.

Bonnaroo Showers: You have the ability to stay as clean as you like at Bonnaroo. Designated pod locations will have shower facilities available for $7 from 7 am to dusk. Garnier Fructis will be providing complimentary shampoo and conditioner at each of our locations to enhance your experience.

Bonnaroo Program and Map: Upon arrival to Bonnaroo, you will receive our Bonnaroo 2007 program and map, offering you show schedules, Centeroo activities, interesting articles, and much, much more. Keep it close as it will prove to be a great resource throughout the weekend.

Recycling: When you enter the festival, each vehicle will receive 2 bags - a GREEN bag for aluminum and plastic bottles and cans and a clear bag for general trash. Please tie off your full bags and place them along the sides of the roads in the campgrounds. Help us leave no trace.

Campground Ambassadors and Pods: Be sure to look for your Ambassadors at each campground pod located on your map. These Bonnaroo folks will provide information, assistance and feedback to our festival's camping community. In addition to providing various resources like water and security, the pods are locations where you and fellow campers can gather and create art with the ambassadors.

General Store: For your convenience, a 24-hour general store located in Centeroo will be selling sundries such as personal hygiene products, batteries, film, disposable cameras, ice, drinks, beer, food and much more. Please see your map for the exact location. General Store is strategically located so you can spend less time worrying about where to find your necessities, and more time worry about what to see and do next.

Information Booths: There will be two staffed information booths for the Bonnaroo community - one in Centeroo, which will be open 24 hours starting at 12:00 PM on Thursday, June 14, until 1:00 AM Sunday night / Monday morning, and another in the What Stage concert field, which is open 12:00 PM until 12:00 AM starting Friday, June 15 through Sunday, June 17. Please see the map you receive upon entrance for exact locations.

Weather: Please be prepared for any weather that may come to Bonnaroo. Check the forecast before you come and prepare accordingly. Be sure to bring suntan lotion, a rain slicker/poncho and other outdoor gear to make sure your stay is comfortable.

Radio Bonnaroo: As you approach Manchester, be sure to tune into Radio Bonnaroo at WFTZ 101.5 FM for up to the minute traffic announcements, news, as well as an eclectic mix of music, artist interviews, and in-studio performances.

No Glass Rule: Please remember that absolutely NO glass of any kind is allowed into the Bonnaroo grounds. All glass containers will be confiscated upon entry to the festival and no exceptions will be made!

Please Be Smart: Our goal is to provide the best possible experience for all attendees, and in doing so, we ask that everyone act in a smart and safe way. The Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival is against drugs and festival safety / security staff will work with law enforcement officers to handle drug related violations in accordance with Tennessee Law.

Nice that they lowered the price on the showers!

- NYTimes blog: "There were sparks, teases, intriguing excursions and a few misfires, but the Police sounded vital, still fascinated by Stingâ??s songs and ready to tear into them anew."  really?

 - i would have LOVED to see that franz ferdinand set.  they blew me away when i saw them at DAR, one of the best shows i've seen there.  if anyone hears about a bootleg of this performance...

 - i've been catching some of the streaming videos, generally good stuff.  saw the last 5 minutes of the john butler trio, impressed me enough to make me regret missing their show at the club.  flaming lips did their usual thing (which is good), and seemed genuinely psyched about being there.  the roots did "roxanne" with ?uestlove doing the vocals which was cool.  bob weir was the only set i could have done without.  actually, i did do without... i turned the stream off.  nice to have a taste of the festival without having to deal with the crowds, heat and expenses.

 - did anyone catch the superjam with JPJ?

When I saw them at 9:30 they killed it, it was an unbelievable, one of my favorite shows ever to date, but when I saw them last spring at Hammerstein Ballroom they underwhelmed me.  I want them to put out a third album soon so I can get the bad taste of their second one out of my mouth.
