So what are we tracking here...as Virginia is kicking butt when it comes to deaths compared to MD

Deaths by Covid
VA-2352   (pop 8.6 mil)
MD- 3612  (pop 6 mil)
DC- 593    (pop 0.75 mil)

MD 715 new cases
VA 1216 new cases

I actually think overall MD has done a better job

At the beginning medical professionals didn’t quite know how to save people’s lives..treat patients....state’s didn’t know as much regarding controlling the spread

Look at NY! Over 30,000 dead..a way higher % of cases was dying in March

So to just look at those early death numbers and extrapolate that one state did a better job because of a lower %/residents rate seems foolish

If you want to know how your state is doing look at how they have been doing the past two months with the benefit of experience

I mean this is the same stupid argument Trump makes about the US doing better than Italy, Spain, Belgium! Well duh but they went first! We were supposed to learn from them

Well in the last few weeks we see Virginia pulling away from Maryland

VA is now just about doubling MD in terms of new daily cases

Not sure why but 96 deaths just reported for VA..a rather shocking number

Maybe a backlog due to weekend? Still there have been other weekends and VA never got above 60ish daily deaths
