I read that Neil Finn was late getting to the show in Philly, requiring Rhett to do an extra long set. He included a Bowie cover amongst those songs. Probably better than the Fiona Apple song he played at Borders.

I heard from a friend in Dallas who Knows Rhett since back in HS that the rumor mill is flying fast and furious out there. Apparently (and this wasn't 100% verified), the 97's label has dropped them for low sales, but kept Rhett on for solo stuff. So he was trying to leverage both to get the 97's back on the label. Then the solo sales didn't do what the label expected, and they pulled support for the tour (ergo, why there are no "Instigators" anymore).<P>Haven't heard how all this stuff has shaken out yet. That report was from ~2 weeks ago.
