Are you talking about the presale for Tuesday?  It's fan club members only sale.  Each member has a unique code. That's how they can restrict ticket purchases to 2 per member.  No one can give you their password because then they wouldn't be able to purchase tickets.

Just the reason many of us have chosen to follow younger, fast evolving, cheaper, better, and less popular music.  $40 just to get the chance to get tickets should be a major alarm going off.  I'm looking forward to Arcade Fire this weekend.  They may not be around in 25 years and sell tickets for 160 a piece, but who's making the better music now? I've seen u2 a few times, so I'm far from intrigued.  You've got to really prioritize U2 to see them anymore... and most of people on this board have a hard time doing that... I believe.

I've never seen them, so I think this will be the time. I've heard from many people that they put on a great show.

There is no DC date listed?  Are they going to announce more dates later?

When is it? I see some North American dates on the pre sale page, but no DC date.

I'm a fan club member, although tickets for my show aren't on sale yet.  I'll let you know in a couple hours.

In the past, as a Propaganda Member (the original fan club) I was offered floor seats for one show for every tour.  I basically stood in the GA for every tour since the Joshua Tree for $25-40.  They offered us a discount for the new fan club ($20), so it was well worth it for me.

And the GA seats in the center or ring (the heart for the Elevation Tour) are $40 and they were guaranteed.  Complain all you want about U2 making money off their fans with the $40 fan club, but we are practically guaranteed floor seats at $40 (break that down, it's only $50 a ticket for me) for a band that is one of the most popular on the planet - that sure beats a pre-sale password that's about as secure as this message board.

No hassles, no worries - well worth the money.

I saw U2 at the Tower Theatre in Philly in '84 and I also saw Bono fall on his ass and break his collarbone at RFK in '87.
I'm cooler than all of you.
