Echo and the Bunnymen were great! I was rather impressed. The audience, however, went completely catatonic after the first half hour. Most of them didn't even have the strength to applaud after the main set and encores.

I thought the show was great as well.  Great song selection and Ian's voice was definitely on.  The crowd was a little subdued but the show didn't start til 11:30, it was somewhat older crowd and us old guys were up pretty early on a work day.

 All in all great show!!

I'm one of those older fans and I could not stop dancing.  There were quite a few classics I wasn't sure I'd hear -- The Cutter, Back of Love, Rescue, even Villiers Terrace (which I never would have expected).  And a nice closer with Ocean Rain that reminded me how Ian's voice could just haunt me.

I haven't seen them in a while, so I was likely easily pleased.  Ian's missing that mischievenous streak that used to cause him to just spaz out a few times during the shows, but I suppose the balance of having him 'there' for the whole show is a balance well struck.

THANKS Chutney!!  And to Bearman, too, for getting my friend in.  A Friday well spent.
