Oh, right, very interesting, thanks smackie...that's great *yawns*

 Runny-catchy?
 Hitty-runny?
 Bass Fishing?
 Crab eating?

Which sport are we even talking about...or for sonick, aboot? [/b]
I believe it's the one you folks refer to as Runny-Catchy or American Football. [/b]
or proper football, not that runny-kicky soccer shite      ;)    [/b]
Football,   foot - ball
Other than the skinny hispanic/caucasian one, who the hell uses their foot on the ball?

Runny-catchy is far more accurate, because they either 'run' with it or 'catch' it. [/b]
haha, i was just turning the usual rest-of-the-world complaint around

and yes, unless the steelers can get a new qb, they will indeed suck

yeah, the Caps traded Anson Carter too, the guy they JUST got for Jagr.

i dont think Kolzig will go now, cause Colorado was really the only team in the market for him.

Any trades the Caps made after Gonch are just for spite. There was absolutely no need to trade Carter. Leonsis is pissed because they didn't make his 5 year plan, so now he's getting back at them, the twat!

Personally I couldn't care what they do at this point. I'm done with them, and I hope there's 35 people at every game from now on like there was last night! It doesn't matter to me because it looks like there wont be a season next year, and then I'm outta here!

I don't think that's true about Leonsis.  I think he's doing what everybody else who is out of the playoffs is doing this season - dumping before the lockout.

This trading is becoming ridiculous and ruining the game.  All of these stars on 4-5 select teams without enough time to play together will dilute the playoffs - exactly the opposite of what hockey thinks it will do.  I'm sure they're hoping that with enough big names in the playoffs there will be more fan outrage at the lockout and it will end sooner.

Instead, you've got 80% of the teams in the league dumping every high dollar player they have and pissing off fans, many of which are bound to react just like Mankie and give the sport or their team up for good.  Hockey is no baseball in America, and while Canada may return to support hockey after a long lockout, the majority of the new hockey fans will not.  The NHL got too big for it's brithches way too fast.  The Canadians were right - big American dollars ruined a great game.

What adds insult to injury is George McLie's rehersed response to all these trades.

"I'm only interested in trades that make sense for Washington, that make us a better team"

Dumping Jagr I'll accept. When we got him I said it would fail.

But Bondra, Gonch, Carter Lange??? How can trading your best players make you a better team.? If he said, "we are dumping high salaries and buying youth for the future" I would accept. But that "makes us a better team" is just bollocks.

Just tell the fans the truth.

 FUCK EM~!

Can't remember which one of you hee-haws is a Leafs fan, but here's some good news for you.

Hurricanes Trade Francis to Maple Leafs
 By MARGARET LILLARD
 Associated Press Writer

RALEIGH, N.C. - Carolina captain Ron Francis was traded Tuesday to Toronto in a deadline deal that stripped the Hurricanes of their captain and one of the NHL's top career scorers.

Check this out I just read on the Caps website!!

 Calle Johansson Signs With Leafs
"I got the itch to play about a month ago. In the short term I think I can be an asset to a playoff team, and I want to pursue my dream of winning a Stanley Cup. I spoke with George [McPhee], and he and Capitals' ownership have encouraged me to follow my heart. Toronto approached the Capitals about the possibility of me joining the Leafs for the playoff stretch and postseason, and I'm excited about the opportunity. When the season is complete, however, I will return to the Capitals organization as a scout. They have been great to me throughout the years, and I appreciate their understanding my desire to compete for the Cup."  -- Calle Johansson
