Linda Tripp.

I know, someone . . . who is laughing.

She died in April. Nothing funny about breast cancer.

Holy crap, I thought I read last night that she just died.  I hate when I do that.  Sorry.  Though breast cancer is not funny, when the person who ruined your life for the rest of your life, dies . . . there is a high probability that you laugh yourself to sleep.

Former NYC mayor David Dinkins.

I once ran into him on the street when getting off the Staten Island Ferry. I also once saw Ed Koch attending the same movie I was (The Cook, the Thief, His Wife and Her Lover.) Not on the same visit to NYC.

Never saw Rudy, thankfully.

Former NYC mayor David Dinkins.
I always think of Dinkins when I listen to Tribe Called Quest
Quite possibly one of just a few politicians that gets a positive name drop in a song

Can I kick it? To my Tribe that flows in layers
Right now, Phife is a poem sayer
At times, I'm a studio conveyor
Mr. Dinkins, would you please be my mayor?
You'll be doing us a really big favor
