He left a family with awkward task of having to tell people, "Grandpa died of a beaver bite".

As a resident of Northern Virginia, please remind me why I would ever choose to fly out of BWI rather than National for a domestic flight?

Or why a DC resident would?

Or even a Silver Spring resident (which is where Hutch lives I think?)?

National is by far my preferred airport... Dulles blows.

Good luck getting a flight to Europe at National Airport.   I have started to fly out of Philly for my International flight needs.  Much easier to get to and customs moves so much faster.   Never flown out of National as really what is the point?  You can fly out of BWI for national flights.

I live in SS and it's easier to fly out of BWI unless I'm leaving directly from work in the city, then I choose National.

I live in the Socialist Republic of Arlington!  :D

BWI is out of the question for us...

I got it made out here... I can be at National or Dulles real quick and easy if the Feds come a-lookin'...

 ;D

But National is just a real nice low key low hassle airport.... just has a good vibe I think... of course its an aiport for domestic flights (mainly if not exclusively)......

Safety reasons.  National Airport isn't the safest for landings and take-offs.

Whenever I need advice on airports, I turn to the obituaries.

At least one commercial pilot agrees with you ...

In my experience, DCA is generally way more expensive to fly in and out of than BWI (though it might be offset by metro accessibility)

Plus, Thurgood Marshall > Ronald Reagan (because this wasn't threadjacked enough)

Both are dead, right?

In general, I think BWI is cheaper, but i can do long term parking at my Metro station a 20 min ride to DCA for the price of one day, whereas long term parking at BWI is (?)

definitely more expensive..cause its the better option... you pay a premium for that..well worth it... shit the idea of getting on 495 to go to BWI which might as well be Baltimore... ..talk about stress...

clever marketing calling it BWI....
