I saw some former big name black ska pioneer guy  live when I lived in London in 1991. Could it have been Prince Buster? I'll never remember...

State Theatre
don't know if anyone got down there, but it's a beautiful theater and facility.
cool art deco, seats donated from the kennedy center.
closed for many years, lots of time & $ to get it back up and running.
played there a few times and the staff could not be friendlier or more accommodating.
bummer for folks in the area wanting a nice night out.

I second, this is a horrible loss. My favorite Waters film.
