Gwen Ifill passing makes me really sad.. far sadder than Cohen who we all knew was dying and was like 8000 years old.. and Leon who also I didn't know how he was playing all those shows.. its like they were rolling him out, gluing him to the piano then taking him down along with the equipment , ungluing his fake beard, and hitting the next town. he must have been hard up for cash or something.. same as Johnny Winter who was three sheets to the wind..and yet he kept playing show night after night after night...some of these oldsters you almost wonder what is going on? Why do they play so much? A guy like Brian WIlson who seems to be having ZERO fun up there.. he kind of looks terrified in fact.. WTF? Is he like being controlled by his manager?
anyways, Gwen Ifill was pure quality.. I thought she was still doing the PBS Newshour program? I know I saw her doing it earlier this year... she seemed totally fine.... she will be missed..
