At one point, I totally wanted to do her. Even though she was 38 years older than me.

Lifted from Twitter

Keith Flint kept a swearbox above the fire in the pub he used to own (The Leather Bottle in Pleshey, Essex). Whenever he put the logs and kindling in and someone piped up with the obvious joke, he'd point to it and charge them a quid. RIP.

The Prodigy were the band that got me into electronic music when I was in high school.

Fuck, this hurts.

I don't think that's.... completely ludicrous. I mean, they were pop music that was electronically based.

Bummed about this. I've really enjoyed their last 2 records and I was super excited for the show in April, which I'm sure is now cancelled

That guy had presence. I remember when the first LP "Experience" came out and it got pretty panned. I HATED it at first. It was so jumpy and schizophrenic and it was using so much technology...then when I saw Jesus Jones in 1993, they played the LP before they went on and I kept thinking "why is this starting to absorb?" It is still one of my favorite LPs and I can listen to it all, start to finish, and I love it. When people think of the 1990's, they probably think of boy bands, Britney, Nirvana, grunge, etc. I still think that this captures a lot of what I remember about that decade. Say what you will, the Prodigy are masters of what they do, and if you've seen one of their concerts you'll understand.

Its impossible in my mind for the band to go on (aside from DJ sets), sans him. His energy was electric. Prodigy at Nation remains one of the best shows I have ever seen. As The Director would say, "there was a vibe in there." The band is so cheesy and retrogressive on their face but bearman is correct: if you saw one of their shows and you saw Keith Flint do what he does with such absolute bravado, then you know what people are talking about. Unless you don't, in which case there is something wrong with you and you're one of those assholes who think not having fun is some badge of artistic honor.

That show at Nation in 2006 was unbelievable. They opened with Break & Enter and the entire place erupted into chaos. The 2009 show at the club was awesome as well.

The last time I saw them was in 2015 in Nottingham, with Public Enemy supporting. Now THAT was a bill! It was different to see them in an arena versus the intimacy of the club gigs they do stateside, but it didn't disappoint.
