One less than his little brother, one more than his nephew.  RIP Bobby...

Curtis Fuller

Noted jazz trombonist

I saw him at the Kennedy Center Millenium stage for free many years ago (with Benny Golson) which was a real treat

Of course casual jazz listeners will have heard Mr Fuller on Coltrane’s Blue Train

What a disaster

Very sad

https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/31427087/ex-hawaii-record-setting-qb-colt-brennan-dead-37

Only hours earlier, Colt Brennan had tried to enter a detox program at an area hospital, but he was turned away because there were no beds available.

I hope that this kind of stuff never happens, but not that uncommon...very sad

That's not how the Post story spun it:

Brennan’s father, Terry, told the Honolulu Star-Advertiser that his son was a patient at a California rehabilitation facility when he was found unconscious a few days ago; he died at a hospital in Newport, Calif.

Brennan’s father told the Star-Advertiser that his son had been in the rehabilitation facility for five months.

“He was doing so well, the spark was back in his eyes, and he was healthy and doing great, and it happened,” Terry Brennan said
