True, you have mentioned some of these shows. I supposed I missed them in the muddle.

Focusing on the word "expanding" vice "corrupt" -- How so? I heard a lot about Old 97's via your posts, so I did check them out to see what all the hoopla is about. Other than that I haven't read about other bands through your posts and anything else brought up you seem to discount or squash with your opinion. [/b]

BACK TO TOPIC!!!

Can i just say that last night, while i WASNT going to the show, i went to a friends house to watch the hockey game.

When i got in my girfriends car, she had it on the MIX 104.1 station (this irks me to no end, cause i make her countless CDs of good music) and what do i hear "Take Your Mama Out" by the Scissor Sisters.

   strange i thought.

But then, 3 1/2 hours later, i get in her car to go home, and change the CD and MIX 104.1 comes back on , to what song?  "Take Your Mama Out" by the Scissor Sisters!!

freaky. were they doing that cause of the show in DC? or are they already doomed to Mix station radio??!!!??

Yes, nothing like signing up for a chatboard and posting maybe a grand total of three or four times over the course of a year, each time to harass me and to inform board members of what an asshole I am.

Rumor has it that you tried the "buy friends with CDs" route but got rebuffed.

GGW burns CDs for people?  Dude, where's the love for Bags....I've never gotten anything.  Ah well, I've had some good will from many folks here, so I shan't complain.

I did see they had a Z104 truck in the front of the club, so maybe they did a SS marathon during/after the show...

I thought the show was quite good, glad I went.  The energy and fun can't be denied....I'd say the influences were nearly all 70s, and very basic disco/funk (lots of Stevie Wonder, though I don't know how he's described).  The band, at least the lead male singer, was flaming, but not sure all their influences are.  Elton John, though....     ;)

Do I want to listen to this album in my car over and over?  Not so sure.  Hopefully a friend will have it and I'll give it a couple listens before I decide whether to buy it...at this point, I'm leaning towards no CD purchase, though I'd see them again if they came through town next year.

Oh, scratch that. He wasn't the one who pm'd me to comment on what a "fat, nasty bitch" you are. That was one of the other board assholes. So I guess he's not the biggest board asshole.
