Shouldn't there be an outdoor Radiohead concert?  I also hope this show happens.

You know, I was thinking the other night that BRMC must be DC's and Baltimore's new Radiohead.

They skip us on the Intimate Tour
 The HFStival was cancelled
 Hurricane Isabel

And they are off to tour Europe yet again in only a couple weeks so it's not likely they'll make it up to us.

Samantha, we need to do something about this.

I will be there. This is a time when I appreciate having knee-high vinyl boots.

well i was going to suggest driving as far as greenbelt metro and taking the train in... but  its closing at 11am.  using the metro from greenbelt is handy because the last train leaving u-street towards greenbelt is after midnight...

Risking life and limb for BRMC?  First off, the chances of them playing are nil.  The city is pretty much shut down the whole day and the rough weather doesn't come until the evening.  Saw them open for spiritualized (and HFS... but does that count?)last year and certainly enjoyed the set, but can't say I long to witness it again.  Besides, the new album has grown on me, but I'm getting tired of listening to immature political opinions.  I know it's rock and roll, but I can't say I'm drawn to thier sound because of it.  Wah, Wah, the U.S. Gov't this and that while we and they live comfortably under the umbrella this gov't provides.  Anyhow.... won't be there tomorrow.

I guess its pretty much a given that if the show goes on tomorrow I will not be attending... no metrorail or bus service..and getting a cab and spending 20+ going there and back doesn't make sense... if you guys make it have fun and if you think you might get stuck in DC and need a place to crash drop me a line..
 live forever,

this show isn't just about BRMC.  this is also about the Warlocks.  and my old best friend/ex who's on tour with them.  I love them all personally, just can't miss it.  if it storms I will be going to New York to see them...I cannot miss this lineup

and fico...aren't you supposed to be dead?

Your employer sucks ass! I could see it if you worked in a hospital or some other similiar essential service. What time do you get off from work? Getting a cab then will be a real bitch too.

Fico, do you already have a ticket?

my employer had a change of heart and is allowing those that are metro dependent to stay home. but i'm tethered to the computer and the phone glued to my ear to check up on my staff and get status reports on projects.

jag, if the show does go on tonight as scheduled. get in touch with me and i'll see how i can help you.
