Hmm, not sure how I feel about the headliners. Last year, I was thrilled to see all the big names (Pumpkins, Police, Beastie Boys, Interpol). This year, it's kind of a big "eh."
Foo Fighters - I enjoy them, but they're not all that special. The live show is basically always the same - a lot of Grohl screaming, same old setlist, maybe a few acoustic songs. Foo Fighters are like Will Ferrell movies.
Stone Temple Pilots - I'm a big fan, and I loved them when I saw them at the NorVa in 2002, but I fear they'll play nothing but the hits. I also don't think they have that special something about them that the Pumpkins do (whether you like Corgan or not). If they play "Atlanta," the tickets will be worth it.
Kanye West - Ugh. Please book someone good on the other stage.
Jack Johnson - Ditto. I might watch a couple of songs, but I sure as hell am not excited to see him.
Nine Inch Nails - Interesting. Not quite the Woodstock '94 festival darlings any more, but I'm still very interested in seeing them. I wonder how much of Ghosts he'll plug into the set.
Let's hope that Seth brings the goods for the rest of the lineup because the headliners aren't quite worth $200 or more.
