OK Sweetcell, I've done my homework. Sorry for the chaotic answers before.
As mentioned before, the Netflix app will download some, but not all, TV Shows and Movies. Other apps will also allow for downloads - Google Play Movies, for example - that expire in time. I often rent a movie on GPM a day before my flight and don't start it until I'm on the plane thus giving me 48 hours to watch it.
Netflix will currently only download to mobile devices and laptops - no set top boxes. I was really hoping for a solution where you buy an STB like the Nvidia Shield TV and leave it hooked up to your TV, but no dice.
Thus you've got a couple choices - use your two Google phones and then wirelessly stream to the TV with the Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter. This is how I watch soccer in my office, albeit via a Surface Pro, not my phone, though I have done it in a hotel room with my Pixel and it's fine.
The second option is to pick up a $150-$200 tablet and connect it directly to the TV via a Micro-USB to HDMI cable. I used to do with my Nexus 10 and it's a decent solution, except - I couldn't power the tablet and watch at the same time as the USB port could only take one. This did get me about 6 hours of viewing which was more than enough. Not sure how much downloading you plan on doing, so you might want to buy a 16GB tablet with an expandable SD card slot so your storage is expanded.
Lastly, you could simply move back to civilization where internet is ubiquitous.
