Artomatic on Friday Roll Call...

C'mon party people, 6 great bands plus Kosmo DJing? And it's free!! You should at least come to see how badly we train wreck on the timing for all these bands.

I plan to go, though I haven't had a bite yet on the email I sent out about it.    :(

I'll get there early (for DJ Wren/Kosmo) and probably leave early as I'm off to NYC for GBV early the next mornin'.

I don't have the patience to sit through all of those bands, but I'm going to try to catch Exit Clov and French Toast.

Oh - and of course DJ Kosmo   :)

Anyone know if [The Sounds of] Kaleidoscope are playing earlier in the evening or later? I would really like to see their entire set.

They are playing last, going on no sooner than midnite...

I will come for the last four bands. Is Kosmo DJing in between acts?
I went last Friday night for Alcian Blue. The show space is better than at the last Art-o-matic. (I will refrain from commenting on acoustics.)

Please do. And yes, Kosmo will be DJing between bands.

Pretty sure I'll be there.  Not sure of the time though.  Probably grab a bite and show up later in the evening.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the show Friday...  Because I'm a dope and didn't check with Kosmette, I now have two copies of the new version of London Calling with DVD.  Anyone going to show and interested in buying a sealed for your protection version of this fab release let me know...

As someone who has run shows with that many bands, you better have:

 1.  A big hand clock or digital clock visible from stage.
 2.  Iron fisted stage manager who will cut a band when their time is up.
 3.  Shared drums and cabs.  Not sharing adds 10 minutes to the set changes and makes the first song a soundcheck/drum tweak.
 4.  Get a listing of what everyone needs in their monitors to set that up from the start, this includes lineup (# guitars, singers, keys, acoustic, etc) and who needs what in the wedges where.
 5.  A good tip for the sound guy, that is going to be hell.

Been there, done that on time.
