Anyone familiar with Supreme Imperial? (Sorry if it's already been discussed.)
From http://www.thehush.net

Created by George France and Sheri Kadeche of The Hush, the Supreme Imperial is a two-level Music & Art Space located in the heart of downtown Baltimore. The Mainstage (lower level) has a capacity of 400 and flies in the face of run-of-the-mill venues that seem to populate the area. The Upper Level consists of an acoustically tuned 2500 square foot main space suited for DJs and private parties and includes a full kitchen and three rooms: The Blue Room, the Orange Room (a recreational lounge), and the Green Room (sleeping quarters for SI Guests). This space has been used for private parties, label showcases, photo shoots, music videos, recordings, record release parties, and much more. Have your next event at the Supreme Imperial...the only alternative for Urban Sophisticate in Baltimore. 410.727.8335. SI Space: PO Box 10070, Silver Spring, MD 20904. For additional info, please contact Sheri Kadeche  booking@thehush.net

Sweet Jesus.  I'll get to see TVOTR play.  Thanks for the heads up.  I probably wouldn't have noticed that.  B'more is always under the radar for me.

So how does one get tickets to this Supreme Imperial? Or is it just pay-at-the-door?

Black Cat

THUR MAY 20- NAVIES, LIKE LANGUAGE, WHITE FLIGHT (ex-Black Eyes) $5 backstage 9:00

FRI MAY 21- WASHINGTON SOCIAL CLUB (cd release), THE CARLSONICS, THE HOLD STEADY $8 mainstage 9:30

So there is already a band risen from the ashes of Black Eyes?

And I know the second one has been mentioned, but not The Hold Steady, ex Lifter Puller and Pitchfork New Band to Watch in 2004.

I've heard that the Carlsonics will be at this show as well... [/b]
No, I thought it was the 21st?  could be wrong, I posted it previously so I just need to go back and check.

*edit* If it's both, great! [/b]
I just got a note from the Carlsonics that says they're not playing this show, even though it's still listed on their website.

Ah well, it'll still be fun.  And I am so there for the May 21 show.  Tooms may come down from NYC (if he doesn't come for the Bags' birthday/BigYawn party the week before...).

I inquired and the email reply I rec'd is:
"There are no tickets for shows. A donation admission is paid at the door prior to entering a show."

I'll keep you all posted as I asked if that amount varied per show (a set minimum donation). I figure it's first come first serve [then] for admission.

For this show, the band has requested an $8 donation. It is first come, first serve.

heard good things, but not the disc yet.

i wouldn't imagine a show at common grounds would be too pricy? what's it like there? is there alcohol? being 4 miles away and on a friday make it sound like a great idea...

Sunday 6/6
 FREE
 Wilco
Three Rivers Arts Festival, Pittsburgh PA

Surely someone else will be interested   :D

  Wilco Tour Dates

Strangely, they played the festival last year also. It was a very good show. Especially for one of those freebie type deals.
