awesome!! My shadow is one ofmy favorite songs this year [/b]
what an odd bill. how are the comas, one of the most boring bands in the world, supposed to follow the all-out rock machine that is jay reatard? and who knows what the hell to except from the meat puppets at this point...

Great.  I'm already bummed about missing the Meat Puppets.  Now it's just insult to injury.  Still sore that I missed him the last time.

Sorry to pile on with the superfluous commentary, but HELL YEAH to Jay Reatard on this bill.

And personally, I like the new Meat Puppets disc quite a bit. It's a little lazy and repetitive, but it sounds good and it's reminiscent of Up on the Sun.

Yeah that's been on the Rev's site for a while, will tonight be the night that the 9:30 Club finally announces it in an email? haha
BTW, if you want to see III headline he's in Lancaster PA 9/28 and Fayetteville NC 9/29, I suppose since he's playing DC in November that he's skipping the area entirely and playing markets where the Rev tour isn't going to be.
And are you referring to the Black Cat show from last October?  I'm one of the biggest III fans around but his voice was in HORRIBLE shape that night (actually the worst I've ever heard him) but kudos to him still playing, if you enjoyed that show then you'll love him when he has more of his vocal capability intact.

This is Chan solo, no DDBB? [/b]
She is with DDBB i believe, certainly with some band, not solo.

If you have an opportunity to clarify (on the site whatever) would appreciate it.  Had enough of the DDBB (four times this touring cycle), mixed emotions about her being sober and tour crazy (joke), would like to see a different set, and a piano and gee-tar would be sufficient as far as I'm concerned...and to hear the Covers 2 stuff, even better.

Umm, this is only her 2nd proper tour with the Dirty Delta Blues Band. Maybe you are referring to the Memphis Rhythm Band who she toured with for The Greatest.

Do I see papercuts/beach house or Spectrum? I'm torn.[/b]
this is a no-brainer: spectrum. beach house are ok, i've seen them a couple of times, but spectrum NEVER hits this area, and sonic boom is ALWAYS good. and the antiques are opening with a special set as well.

this is what buddyhead had to say about sonic boom's live show nowadays.

When we recently had the night off in Oslo, the fine folks from Serena Maneesh took us to see Sonic Boom play at a small club. Being big fans of Spaceman 3, we were pretty excited to see what homeboy was up to these days. To put things somewhat nicely, lets just say hes not up to a helluva whole lot. The first indication of the suckage was when we realized it was just gonna be him taping down keyboard keys and twisting knobs on a few delay pedals while he read gibberish from pieces of paper he had all over the place. Real exciting NOT! Aaron figured the second song in was the perfect time to let homeboy know how rad the show was when he shouted point-blank at him, SHIT YEAH, FUCK EM UP SONIC BOOM! DELAY PEDAL SOLO! WOO!
