My money was that they witnessed an E.A.R. show which pretty much consists of him doing what you just quoted, Spectrum (if it's like when they played the Black Cat 9-10 years ago) should be a proper band with discernable songs (I'm hoping "Just To See You Smile" finds it's way on the setlist somehow).[/b]

my thoughts exactly. E.A.R. tends to be more experimental and hit-or-miss, but spectrum should be pretty consistent and more song-oriented.
 
 there are actually two other really good shows on sunday, replicator (noise rock from oakland produced by unwound's vern rumsey) and rahdunes (heavy improv psych from oakland) at the velvet lounge, and jennifer gentle (really good italian psych-pop with a syd barrett fetish) at dc9. the beach house show would be 4th on my list.

Yeah, they finally announced it! We are doing a series of posters for this show that all fit together to make a huge poster that will be 19 x 50. Should be a fun four nights.
