 Wasn't the band just called Ratdog before? What's with his putting his name in front of it?
 
 At least with Phil Lesh and Friends, the name makes sense because well...it's him and a bunch of his friends (rotating into and out of the band).

i think its because that most people just think ratdog is nothing more than a dead cover band.  he hates that.  he thinks that when ratdog breaks out a non dead song, everybody in the audience walks to go get a beer.  i think he just wants people to know that this is his band and not a cover outfit.

I'm pretty sure the band has always been officially named Bob Weir and Ratdog.  At least for the past four or five years.

 That's 10 "Dead" songs (counting Dew and NFA).  7 of those are songs Jerry used to sing and 1 of them is an instrumental.  I only see 1 original song here - unless "Stuff" is an actual song, which would make it 2 originals.
