Hey, in MT they get their music where they can. And kudos for starting them off right in the early years.   ;)
I forgot I was going to make a post about churches being the new venue. A few artists are peforming at churches in Philly, Arlington, other locations. Just curious...(ex/Bloc Party)

Pitchfork:
Pitchfork: So tour is going well, I assume.

Rachel: Absolutely. The crowds have been great.

Colin: Surprisingly good. Our first two shows we were just trying to make the connection between Portland and Minneapolis so it was a lot of sort of odd, out of the way places. We played in Missoula, and Helena, like Montana shows, then played in Spearfist, South Dakota of all places, but they were all great.

Pitchfork: Helena is your hometown, right? How was that show?

Colin: It was funny, it was hilarious.

Rachel: It was really, really interesting because I think it was a lot of [Colin's] family, and a lot of kids, and old people, which is great. And they all sort of clapped very politely between every song, it was definitely like, more of a performance.

Colin: Yeah, we played in the theater there, the performance space, it was actually, you know, a sizable theater, and we were like on the cover of the Arts section of the local paper. It was nice, it was like this was a big deal, like, in the middle of nowhere, really.

Yeah, one. Everything else within the state is held at a festival along the river. (Hoya, I meant additional artists not just those in the "punk scene". Many have churches on their schedules as of late.)
Well then, Colin is a cool cat.
