They were really great. But Burdon's like 75 now, and that's a long way from 60. Did JAXX charge $75 per ticket (or was it $60, price goes up $1 for each year of age), and did JAXX offer a $2 senior citizen's discount?

Quote from: moeszyslak on February 15, 2017, 05:18:02 pmI saw Andrew Bird at Bonnaroo in 2009. My friends were annoying me, so I left them at camp and went to check out music I hadn't listened to before. Saw Andrew Bird and the set completely blew me away, possibly the biggest take away from that whole festival. After the festival, he toured and played the club, so I bought tickets to that right away. Excited for a club show that floored me at a festival, we got there early and St. Vincent opened on that tour and was equally amazing. I don't think I have seen a show since that the opener was as the headliner since that show. With that said, I have seen Andrew Bird several times since, including the show at the club last year and it must have been a shock to some people that listened to his older stuff. People poured out of the sold out show like Dylan at the Newport Folk Festival, but I really enjoyed it. Has his music really changed that much? It was a little different in the earliest times (like with Bowl of Fire back in 98), but it seems like he's been releasing remarkably similar albums going back to 2003's Weather Systems. I did think his most recent album was his weakest in a while, but it didn't seem all that different.

It was Jaxx -- I doubt it was more than $25. You got a $5 discount if you were wearing a Road Ducks or Kix t-shirt with the sleeves cut off.
Also gone were the spinning double horn speakers that made the sound at his shows very cool.
not sure if this was mentioned, but saw this on the 930 blastMeat Puppets and mike watt + the jom & terry show Ust5/14
