I dont' think the Roots are playing Sunday, and Rakim and Erykah Badu are. There are some other subtle changes in the announcement, but I'm hoping the shows mirror one another more or less with the special guests from each day being announced acts the other. I'm flying from NYC to Myrtle Beach to see the White Stripes the next day before coming back to dc, so hopefully they won't do anything I'd regret missing on sunday.
As to 15 more shows, HIGHLY UNLIKELY, but I can't say impossible. Spoke with Guerilla Union guys on Monday morning as they haven't sold out the California RTB's yet, and asked if there was any hope RATM would play outside of the four dates for them, and the answer was a resounding NO, as they really wanted them to play the other RTB dates nationwide (that's probably where the 15 show rumor started), but that's not going to happen. Now whether they decide to do something in the run up to the elections, can never say never but THAT's the only rumour I've heard that has credence. But again unlikely.
Oh and take your ass to new york, Randal's island is a good venue and everyone needs to get out DC at least once a year.
In response to the second Rock the Bells date, is the lineup going to differ at all besides Rage and Wu-Tang? [/qb]
Has anyone heard anything about more supposed dates for Rage Against the Machine. I heard somewhere that they are playing something like 15 more shows. Has anyone else heard this or have a source for it?
I'd love to see them, but not sure I want to go all the way to NYC. If there are 15 more dates, I'm guessing something would be closer. [/qb]
I can see that rumor being true though, cause the buzz from Coachella is deafening in the streets right now. We'll see . . . . . [/QB]
