I actually would love the 80s metal experience, but it seems these shows are always at Nissan and that Nissan is (apparently, I've never been) the worst concert venue on earth...

this just got better - also on the bill: Ratt and White Lion!

the only real issues with Nissan are (a) it's kinda far especially if you're from maryland, and getting to a show there on Friday evenings requires leaving early, and (b) getting out of the parking lot can take up to an hour if you leave along with the masses.  can't do much about (a) except leave early, and (b) can be solved by skipping out before the end of the encore or tail-gaiting after the show.  i supposed one could also raise a "moral" objection to nissan, since it's operated by LiveNation.

otherwise, nissan is a fine venue - good sight lines, good sound system.  it was built specifically for live music.  what sound bad are a most nightclubs, which are in spaces that weren't designed for live music.  then again some people don't like any venue that holds more than 100 people since it's "mainstream"...    ;)

Now your sexual harassment is saved for all time.

Seriously, has anyone else had as many board romances as I have?

i agree...not sure why seth hasnt grabbed a few of these for  Merriweather...i guess more people in Northern Virginia are still stuck in the 80s than in Maryland.

Willie Nelson has drafted Son Volt, Old 97's, Drive By Truckers and Amos Lee to perform at his annual Fourth of July Picnic. The show will be held at the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Wash., the first time it has taken place outside Nelson's home state of Texas.

I actually saw Dylan in Hershey a couple of years.  He did "To Ramona" and I swooned.

I once saw Oasis at the Nissan Pavillion and if I remember correctly it was a fine venue.  It was Oasis that was awful (The Manic Street Preachers wiped them off the stage...and they were promoting "Everything Must Go"!)  I think Oasis quit the tour and fly back to England after that show.
