Parades was a sweet album. Aren't they huge in Europe? Like huge enough to play major theaters? Sucks they're relligated to a fucking closet like DC9 here.

I'm not sure if they are big in Europe or not, but I'm happy that they're coming back! Too bad you didn't make it to their gig with Black Moth Super Rainbow at the RnR Hotel... ;)

For walkonby:
Phish to headline Bonnaroo

One would think they'd do their own festival at the end of the summer instead.

Maybe they're doing both?

NOLA JazzFest has announced the lineup for its 40th anniversary next year.  Big names include Wilco, Dave Matthews Band, Aretha Franklin, Kings of Leon, Common, James Taylor, Ben Harper, Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings, and basically everyone else you've ever wanted to see, including SPOON! All for $35-40 a day.

I've made the trip down to NOLA for the Fest twice, and loved it.  I might have to do it again.

Noticed that earlier.

Plenty of those bands will probably play late night sets in clubs, too.

I really like their album Parc Avenue, and they were great when I saw them in Baltimore earlier this year.
