I gave my mom a Devendra cd for Christmas last year.  She and my dad loved it. 
I would doubt it sells out quick, I didnt think he was that popular in this littered musicscape.

Probably not a quick sell out, but I do believe his last show at 6th & I was sold out.
And it was awesome.

Not sure if this has been posted but Thurs 9/29 sees the return of The High Dials to the Velvet Lounge.

Of course, it's not quite the same without Rishi Dhir on bass/sitar (whose f**king awesome new project, Elephant Stone, was longlisted for the Polaris Prize north of the 49th). They're also doing a showcase with Black Diamond Bay at CMJ (BDB is one of the best live acts I saw at NXNE this summer). Put this on your calendars and give them some love.
