Same with Rock the Bells.. 150 dollars for pavillion??? I was able to pull GA floor.  I am guessing cancelled could be in their future. 

I know Pit tickets were available for Rock the Bells almost up until the day before the show last year.

With the lineup this year, plus the fact that this is only 1 of 2 shows on the east coast (so people are likely to travel to Merriweather), i highly doubt it will be canceled.

Matador has announced the initial lineup for their 21st birthday party. In addition to the reunited GBV ("the classic '93 - '96 lineup"), it also features Pavement, Sonic Youth, Belle & Sebastian, Spoon, Cat Power, Yo La Tengo, the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, the New Pornographers, Girls, Superchunk, Ted Leo & the Pharmacists, Guitar Wolf, Fucked Up, Shearwater, Harlem, Cold Cave, Kurt Vile, Jeffrey Joe Jenson, and more to be announced. The folks behind FYF Fest  are producing the show.

Having seen both acts multiple times I would prefer Matisyahu over Social Distortion.  But I think Matishyahu works better outside
