Holy fuck, that might be a legitimate possibility. I would cream myself. Not that they need it... speaking from very recent experience, B + S are on top form as is.

I always got the impression the Isobel/Stuart split was not 100% amicable. But that's just the stuff of very twee nonexistent tabloids.

Also, that Drums/Surfer Blood show is a joke. If the Club is more than half-full (or half-empty?) I'll be pretty dismayed.

I had a VERY awkward moment with them once on 15th Street before their show at the Black Cat in 1998. Long story, but they were definitely having a tiff and I walked right into them. Isobel and I met in Chicago, she offered to put me on the guest list, and when Stuart saw that we were friendly it raised an eyebrow. I didn't realize they were "together" but when I did, I sent them on their not-so-merry way. Good times.

I completely agree. But Fold Your Hands Child is still my favorite B&S album for how balanced it is. It's also the most melancholy of all the albums, which is good or bad depending on your mood and perspective. If Stuart and Isobel were really together before their split in 02, then having "There's Too Much Love" as the final song on Fold Your Hands Child is incredibly ironic.

I'll have to check out her show the night before.
