you're not the only source   last time someone announced a SMD show (at the 930, i believe), several people crawled out from under their indie-rock to hate on them.  bookerT was especially vitriolic if i remember correctly.  i was just trying to head off the inevitable - looks like it worked.

I'm wondering if they will strait cancel or if they will scramble for a fill in drummer, maybe postpone the tour. They also could very well use Karma to Burn's drummer, he is all pro! I had my tickets already so I hope for the best. Shocking news this is!

Jaxx is also thinking of booking Masters of Reality! They want internet peoples to speak up on this. Make fun of Jaxx all you want but I really wanna see Chris Goss and his crew tear it up live.

Johannes is opening for Fistful of Mercy. I wish I had known he was playing sooner, because that show's now sold out. I'm really liking Spark so far.

Masters of Reality would be a great show. Hope it happens.

Apparently Jeff Tweedy, Elvis Costello, Mavis Staples, and possibly Cat Stevens (?!) will be performing at the Daily Show/Colbert rally.

On October 4, Columbia will release Metallic Spheres, an album-length collaboration between Pink Floyd singer/guitarist David Gilmour and UK dance collective the Orb. For this album, the Orb consisted of main man Alex Paterson and producer Youth.


The record is set to be released as a CD, a download, and double LP, as well as a "double CD" which features something called a "3D60 mix" that allows for 3D sound. 3D is super hot right now.


OMG!!!  any of you, "i hear or get albums before they're even made" people know anything about this?
