Henry Rollins very special 50th Birthday show - Feb 13th - (at Nat Geo Live according to WaPo).

presale was this morning at 9:00'ish - didn't start on time and once the show finally went on sale it sold out in a few seconds.

the e-mail i got said that they'd be recording the performance for possible future release so having 2 shows makes sense - more material to pull from, get to re-do anything that didn't work out the first time, etc.  rollins' website says that "The venue asked if I would do a second show".  somehow i doubt that.

http://henryrollins.com/tour states that the only current show has 8 pm doors, but when i bought tix this morning they stated on several occasions that doors were at 7:00.  would make more sense that there is a 7 pm show and an 10 (as opposed to 8 & 10).

in case anyone wants to learn about the venue: http://events.nationalgeographic.com/events/facilities/grosvenor-auditorium/.  seating capacity = 385.  looks like a standard issue auditorium/lecture hall.

Hello and thanks for the interest in the 02-13-11 show in Washington DC. The tickets sold out very quickly. The venue asked if I would do a second show. That is never a problem and so I said yes. SO, there will be a 10 pm show. Check at our site page. Management said the deal is done and the tickets should be going up soon. Thanks again for the interest. Henry
