Some rubber cement, a couple cans of Reddi-Whip, "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" (because "The Wall"...it's about connecting....with people.....MAN!....) from Redbox, the audio through the Windows Media Player for visualizations.  That only costs, like $15!

Brian

So that's why I found this picture on my computer...

I was stoked at first when I thought Brian was getting into early Heart (before Ann found donuts) and then I put on my glasses. What a bummer.

Vampyre Heart!!? What a bummer.

Maybe I'm the last person to care, but apparently Sammy quit the band a few months ago.  Via text message.  While the band was on tour.  So it's just Kurt and five other guys now.  Still a good show, though.

I was all set for this -- I love John Wesley Harding, but now I'm on a panel at a conference the next day and just know I will need the night before to review and rest.  I'm very sad!

R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck has confirmed his first tour since his seminal alt-rock band’s official break-up. Buck and longtime R.E.M. collaborator/The Minus Five visionary Scott McCaughey will back singer-songwriter John Wesley Harding on tour this November. John Wesley Harding’s backing group will also include the King Charles Trio, which features Decemberists members John Moen, Chris Funk, Jenny Conlee-Drizos and Nate Query. Harding is touring in support of his critically acclaimed new record The Sound of His Own Voice.

Haven't seen him in 18 years but he delivered. His F St. shows were some of the best I saw there.

Radiohead has started announcing dates.  Closest to DC so far is Atlanta on 3/1/2012.  Many more to come, but here's the list so far.

"This event will have ticketfast or will call only. All ticketfast accounts will be delayed until 1/23/2012, A photo ID matching the name on the account will be required for entry. All persons in your party MUST enter at the same time. Second party will call will NOT be allowed."

what does this mean exactly?  Will it be possible to buy more than 1 ticket? is this just saying that once you pick up the tickets, all of you have to enter the venue at the same time?

yes, you can buy more than 1 ticket (up to whatever the maximum allowed - 4, 8, whatever).  and yes to the second part: you and your guest(s) have to walk up to will call together, purchaser must show ID and all of you must immediately enter the venue.  you or your guests are not allowed to pick up the tickets and then walk away with tickets in hand.  essentially, don't line up for will call until you're ready to be seated (or at least hang out inside the lincoln).
