I believe Jiffy Lube Live is a Live Nation venue

Very correct, and it boasts a nearly 30% higher occupancy.  They are two radically different venues-- it's like saying that since Black Cat and 930 are both indoor venues, they are interchangeable.  Dave and Pearl Jam can easily sell-out 25,000, so they do.

My guess would be the size difference of the venues + contractual obligations between labels and promotors

Both make sense... I just hate that place and MPP is only about 5k smaller.

The Nancy Hanks Lecture is a leading national forum for arts policy intended to stimulate dialogue on policy and social issues affecting the arts. It is held each year on the evening before Arts Advocacy Day.

The annual lecture is named for Nancy Hanks, former president of Americans for the Arts and chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts, who devoted 15 years of her professional life to bringing the arts to prominent national consciousness.
