I've never seen him and I've only seen Patti Smith at Protests. Loved her book.My fear is that we'll get the entire "Americana" record + an encore of 3 old-school NY tunes. I wouldn't pay $250 to hear Crazy Horse play "This Land is Your Land" and "Clementine" unless you promise they're each going to morph into a 20-minute noise-fest. I'm probably going to wait to see some reviews before I spring for this one.Patti Smith is always terrific though. It would be worth paying for the cheap seats just to see her, if nothing else. I think her new record comes out today, too.

The press release that came out from LiveNation about the Patriot Center date lists Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Patti Smith and her band, and Everest.

Plus a lot of other local music news and a ton of live reviews.

Püss Füst is a festive marathon of all lady phenomena. The festival brings together a wide range of local & international female artists? work in a unique multimedia event. This year?s curators are Maire Witt O?Neill and Molly Colleen O?Connell. The show is comprised of four categories: gallery works, performances, video reel, & live interactive booths. Participants are either invited to be in the show or curated in by an open call for proposals. Püss Füst 2008 was a one night event held at the Copycat building, featuring 16 artists curated by Hayley Silverman, Molly Colleen O?Connell, and Emily Shinada. Püss Füst 2010 was a fully installed exhibition scaling the entire first floor of Open Space Gallery (running from the gallery to the now converted recording studio) curated by Sarah Milinski, Molly Colleen O?Connell, and Maire Witt O?Neill. The show boasted 52 artists & over 300 attendees. For Püss Füst 2012, we envision more artists, more events during the exhibition (screenings, workshops, etc), and reaching an overall larger audience.
