These guys were a big deal in 2006-08 and now they're playing DC9 and U Hall? I figured they'd be bigger by now.

I saw them at the club when their first album came out and don't think I've listened to them since... Have they put anything out worth hearing?

There are so many bands from that time period of say 03 to 07 that kind of just disappeared. I'm actually surprised Arcade Fire came out alive after a few stinker albums they put out.

First album was awesome but their second album was awful and was filled with noise like you were listening it through a really awful scratched and dusty album.  Never listened to them after that.

There are so many bands from that time period of say 03 to 07 that kind of just disappeared. I'm actually surprised Arcade Fire came out alive after a few stinker albums they put out.

Which ones were stinkers? Not everyone can/wants to put out Ten/Funeral every album.

The Suburbs and Funeral would be in my top 100 albums of all time list.

I actually liked Neon Bible and didn't much care for Funeral. Downhill since then IMO, though. They also come off as massive douchebags.

I'd consider Neon Bible a stinker... and while Funeral may have been perfect in 04', over time I feel it has lost its luster.  So... putting out one stinker, plus Funeral maybe not being as awesome as it once was in a course of six to seven years is an easy recipe for a band to disappear. Obviously, that didn't happen...

I went to one of their Brooklyn preview shows and to their afterparty in Philly where there was a lot of unexpected fan interaction. They seemed super nice!
