But the real question is, how much more expensive is a ticket to see him now versus the cost of a ticket to the older show due to more venues opening in the area?

i just don't think it applies in this case....

i think creed has gone way down the drain since his last solo show......but, as always, you will advise on what is correct.

Black Star Riders
June 22
State Theatre

The Black Star Riders is the currrent version if you can call it that of Thin Lizzy but as far as I can tell the only guy in the band who played on those killler records is Scott Gorham who was one of the two twin lead guitarists..

some forumer requested the reformed Thin Lizzy a while back on the Hey Seth thread....but he thought there were more "original" members (note for the anal: Gorham is not technically "original" having joined in 74)

this must have been announced but what I found most interesting was the opener

Old 97s
Lydia Loveless (Opening)
Saturday May 31

I love Lydia's albums...which is pretty recent stuff.....I think she's 23?  more proof I'm still plugged in... not  a hipster mind you...I would never say that

 ;D

I hear the new Old 97s is also pretty good.

Haha. He played the club about 6-7 years ago and a picture famously got posted of like fifteen tickets taped to the front door for free. Scalpers bit it huge on that one.

LOL never mind...

Listening to the new Old 97's right now, and love it. It has a Tom Petty feel, I am thinking this morning. I was on the fence, but I am getting tickets today.

Yes, I'm liking it a lot as well. Their best since at least 2001's Satellite Rides.

I'm too lazy to find the NYC thread, so will post here. Some nice free shows at Celebrate Brooklyn.
