UHF is a movie from 1989.  It is a comedy.  It stars "Weird Al" Yankovic who also is a musician known for his parodies and polka medleys of popular music.  The movie is about a TV station, and "Weird Al" gets involved in shenanigans. 

The best part is when the person must choose between fish or what is in the box.

Generally. But I like to believe with the right blend of eccentric personalities and original programming a ragtag UHF station could challenge and maybe -- just maybe! -- beat the network affiliates in the ratings.
