prices in DC have skyrocketed.. what used to cost $5 costs $10 so just divide the cost by 2.. makes you feel much better...

would you rather drink a $10 beer or a $5 one?

exactly.

$40 ain't cheap, but they've always done a terrific job live.  If you're a fan I can't imagine you'd leaving feeling that you hadn't gotten your money's worth.
They are a very good live set every time (if you like that style of music) no doubt. I've seen them a handful of times and don't think I've ever paid over $25, however. They tour fairly constantly.

Tickets for J.E.W. were $40 each for their show in October 2014 at the club. So, no price increase in 2 years is okay, maybe yes?

trust me.. they are a quintessential $20 ticket band... which is why its $40

Ween for example is a $25 band which is why their next DC show will be $50...

$25 in 2007, and $40 since then.  That's why we should all vote in another Republican.

Brian, since you seem to get paper tickets, can you please go to the club and purchase one for me so I can avoid the heinousity of the service charge on this...?

2007 was nine years ago

it's been $40 for the last 3 years

the Obama administration has kept ticket prices stable

Honored that you caught the sarcasm, Seth!

chall-- You are very correct about my hardticket preference, but I will likely be mashing refresh at 10am this Friday, and therefore incurring the service fees.  I am pretty sure JEW tends to be an immediate sellout and I am doubting there will be tickets available by the time the box office opens 2hr after the onsale.  Yay fees...
