This doesn't seem sustainable, tho. There's more money to be made at an arena, so either Seth or the artist or both are taking a loss.
How many true "arena" shows has The Anthem had thus far?? Maybe one or two? Seems great vs. seeing say the Arcade Fire at a 50% sold Verizon Center, no?? Or $eth can simply increase the cost of said tickets since you're getting the premium of seeing XXX band in a small place vs. a giant arena. For example, I'd pay $150 to see one of my favorite bands in The Anthem vs. paying $75 to sit in section 407, Row P.
Seems great, yeah, but Radiohead is nearly a guaranteed sell-out at Verizon, not a 50% sell. There's also a lot of America absent on those tour dates, which likely means they'll be back around later this year. If it's in the summer, maybe we'll get MPP instead.
I'd love nothing more than to see them at a smaller venue. It won't happen though.
