I got to say I have upped my tipping recently cause it’s not just a city in China

Well inflation

Now I tip $2 per drink and more like 25% on meals if service was ok

I have even began tipping when I pick up food…not always yet

I think some of this is a bit pandemic related

I have easily doubled my tipping since 2020 (TBH...only get food out less than 3 times a month)
feel bad for those in the service industry

Takeout, I would always leave at least $2, now I tip 15-20%
Meals has been between 20-25 now, I always put something and then, cross it out and add a few dollars

Heck I've even tiped at the merch table the last few shows

Space probably tips 15% but if the service is good 20% BUT if the service sucks he might not tip at all.

I have to think he is well aware exactly how much he tips

BTW this describes me exactly when I was younger

I was raised by a person that believes Tipping is just a city in China…last few times I went out with him I had to supplement his paltry tip….Argentines believe a tip should be the loose change in your wallet

I say Space is 20% across the board and $1 a drink.  But he won't pay more than $20 for a concert ticket.

I typically take 20% of the pretax bill, add it to the post-tax total, and round up to the nearest dollar.

For the two beers that cost $15 pretax, I paid $20.

My wife was a server for many years before meeting me. She wouldn't have married me if i were a cheap tipper.

I should also say that on that night, the service flat out sucked. The first two times to the bar, I gave up after about ten minutes, I didn't get any bartender attention until my third try.
