Never mind that their squalling voices and untuned instruments are ear poison. Pitchfork says you have to like them. I envy you that you've never heard them.

I feel like this is on of those bands I'm supposed to like, but I've never heard any of their music.

I say this as someone who owns their first 7 LPs -- they're merely fine. Possibly the most overrated band of that decade amongst people of a certain ilk.

You should definitely check out Dig Me Out and the original lineup was worth seeing but its one of those bands like Yo La Tengo where from the way people talk about them you'd think they're Jesus Christ returned to Earth in musical form and they're just merely OK.

My take on sk ( ha voice2txt wrote seizure kitty) is if you were there in the 90s when they were playing the black cat shows it was incredible. When they came back
 came back and played the show at the 930 club
 that was amazing.
Hadn’t heard from them in a bit and the zeitgeist was just right

But their recorded material has left me desiring after the first two or three albums

I also thought that show at the Anthem was horrible
