Being a (fat) schlub isn't part of Jack Black's schtick? Christ, he plays a character named "Fred Schlub". What more evidence do you want?
We haven't had a comedy at F-M in a while, so "Superer" comes at a good time. As we all know, comedy is a hard genre to write. Hell it's probably the hardest genre to write. Plenty of people are funny, but not many people can write funny. Can Marlowe write funny? We're about to find out, eh?
"Superer" is the sequel to the hit superhero parody "Super Movie." Fred Schlub, a.k.a. "The Triumphant" -- not Triumphant Man or Triumphant Boy, just "The Triumphant" -- is joined in his attempt to fight evil using no powers whatsoever by his mysterious niece Cherry Fox and bumbling best friend Al Arthurs. "The Triumphant" must foil the evil plot of the serendipitously named Erektra. One wordâ?¦ AWESOME!
Jack Black as Fred Schlub, Seann William Scott as Al Arthurs, Lacey Chabert as Cherry Fox and Catherine Zeta-Jones as Erektra comprise a surprisingly good cast. Jack Black as the overweight, powerless superhero is as natural as they come. Seann William Scott as the bumbling security guard is a perfect fit, and Zeta-Jones as the stunningly beautiful villain also works. In other words, the cast fits, and the directors are right for this genre. French Stewart turns in a powerhouse performance as "nearly everyone else."

I really dont agree with either of those comments. I think it just relects the negative way you judge and view people.
