Neither of those two are popular anymore over here for a REASON.  They're awful now and haven't been good for twelve years (Weller?  x2.)  Hey, if I want to go see a band play dull, plodding, tuneless crap at Merriweather, R.E.M. are going to be playing there in a couple months aren't they?

weller solo stuff has a "classic rock" sound which could have easily worked on a classic rock station were those programmers not so hung up on having to only include artists of a specific era.  of course weller isn't popular in the states, his solo stuff was never in fashion for mainstream radio.

Hey Seth - Why does Pat Benatar hate DC?  She plays Rams Head every year, along with that outdoor thing in Loudon County.  Why does she never make it to DC-proper?
