I'll second the request for Nada Surf.  I think they played the Black Cat last April or May...so good  :)

I'll third the Nada Surf idea. One of my favorite bands...though unless they have a new album coming out, I would think they might ba better match for the Black Cat.

There's a slighter costlier solution to all these wish lists but perhaps a bit more practical and would at least get you out of DC for a couple of days is attending  the second weekend of ATP this year which is essentially curated by us, the fans by voting on our favorites with Barry and Helen going out with bids.

A ton of faves are unavailable (Arcade Fire, PJ Harvey, Shins, and Sonic Youth for example, but others such as Modest Mouse, Sparklehorse, Shellac, The Books, etc have agreed to play).

I too was going to put in a request for Nada Surf. I missed last year's shows & prefer to see them at 9:30...

Just pointing people to an alternative direction to send their wish lists and focus their angst, because as responsive as Seth is/has been there seems to be a tooth fairy-esk quality to this thread and at least with ATP they have a marginally better chance of their wishes coming true.  Shoot me.

Hey Seth,
I left a request for the Hoodoo Gurus under my pillow last night, and it is still there. What's the deal?

I dunno, I'll spread my angst here. Statistics in this thread are pretty good...

Hey Seth... according to the Pogues website, they're touring NY, Boston, Philly and Chicago in March 2007.  Any chance you could bring 'em back to DC? The 2 shows at the Club last year were outstanding and while I do not mind one bit getting on a plane to see the Pogues, I would love 2 more DC shows too!

 Pretty please???

OK, I'll stop bucking the trend and put in my own request,  if info below is reliable then perhaps in addition to a  Coachella appearance she could make a pit stop the capital as well?  930 would be nice but any IMP venue would do the trick.

 BJORK NOT AVAILABLE

Bjork is not available for ATP in May as she is on tour in America at that time.

Jarvis Cocker is playing NYC on April 23 before heading west to Coachella.  What are the chances of him making a quick stop in DC?

Hey Seth...  I figure I really dont need to make this request but WTF just wanted you to know.  When RATM does do their reunion tour it would so kick ass to have them at the club.  Count on me being at said show should it come down.
