Actually, they sat-in on "Sitting Still".  To be honest, I could barely even see them from my seat.  I was to the left of Mills and they were on the right of Peter.  Great moment though. [/b]
Shoot, I knew it was a fabulous classic.  Just knowing I was in the same room would have been cool.    ;)

Re: Sound at the 9:30 Club..

Spoke with Gus the sound engineer (as well as the Breeder road engineer)... they have a 5 week old (new) Digidesign ProTools rig in the back (24 channel I think), and Gus said they are getting a new PA system in in the next few weeks. So everything is getting "refreshed" at the club. The ProTools setup was sick, especially given the ability to save setups, which Gus said saved his ass during a two night/set stint for a band a few weeks ago.

It's nice to see the club not banking the cash they get from their other venues and actually upgrading the place... it shows (and sounds) appropriately.

i'd put my money on late-80's stipe. [/b]
his transformation from sitting nervously behind the drum riser while signing to wearing 34 t-shirts and screaming about politics is pretty ridiculous

huh.  never occurred to me that PT was useful for live sound.  the ability to save setups is available in a lot of other platforms, i wonder what else PT brings to the (mixing) table... something to look into.  cool.

the breeders killed.  kelley is lilith incarnate.  the bass player looked bored. they didn't play my song.  the montana boys were decent, and the big guy was impressive.  but more importantly, who let all the twinky gay boys into the club?

Is that a complaint?    ;)   There were some cute, older indie rockers last night as well...

The singer of Montana Boys has huge man-tities. And what's up with their songs? One was titled "The Big One" and one about licking balls?

Apparently our balcony was older lesbian couples.

And gropey boy-girl couples that smelled like cheese and were really annoying.
