As much as I dislike festivals, I'd gladly buy VIP tickets if R.E.M. are playing.....especially if it got me into their secret 9:30 show.      :)    [/b]
Secret 930 show?  Huh? [/b]
Just wishful thinking. [/b]
That's what I figured, but it wouldn't have surprised me all that much if were true.

Was (Not Was) / Kid Creole and the Coconuts / James Chance to show the kids that rock funk and disco were fused together many moons ago.

 semi-realistic suggestions

Much like the previous 2 years, the majority of artists will be having albums coming out around the spring/summer/early fall.  Don't The Raconteurs have something coming out this year?  I know they played the first Festival, but i was stuck in traffic.  I also think Wolfmother will have a new album coming out.  Both those bands would be good again.  Anybody have a list of all the bands who are suppose to be releasing new albums this year?

Please, please, please NOT in September!!! Especially mid September. For the 1st V Fest, there were 3 different music festivals along with 2 or 3 different competing shows that night which drew away fans from all in order to attend whichever one we all selected. There are always tons of different kinds of festivals and such going on during September weekends. PLEASE NOT IN SEPTEMBER.

Personally, I absolutely hate Jack Johnson and not thrilled in the least with the Foo Fighters.

 My realistic wish list:

 My Bloody Valentine
 The Verve
 God Is An Astronaut
 A Place To Bury Strangers
 Portishead
 The Vandelles
 Spiritualized
Ulrich Schnause (probably best in a DJ tent though he's an electronic artist)

VFest 07 was a fine time. 1st day was better, but the 2nd day had its great moments too. The combo of mega-acts, trendy acts and even classic-rock acts (yay to Cheap Trick and Velvet Revolver) brought me in and made me a happy fest goer, and overall saved me from spending a lot of money and time on different shows throughout the year. Plus if it wasn't for VFest 07 I would have never known about LCD Soundsystem, Peter Bjorn and John, Dan Deacon or CSS, and would not have gone on to purchase their records.  So yes please keep it up Seth and remember to bring back the mist tents .. maybe even a few more this year.
