I hope that list means the Kaiser Chiefs and the 22-20s will be touring around that time.

Did anyone see The Rolling Blackouts when they played here (Baltimore or DC) last Fall? I wanted to see them but just couldn't work it into my schedule. If so, how were they? They seem like they would put on a good show, in the vein of maybe The Sights, the 22-20s, the 45s, The Von Bondies, The Detroit Cobras, Jon Spencer, etc...

Malkmus and the Jicks will be there, too.

I've never been to SXSW, but am thinking about it this year.

Is it possible to just buy tickets to individual shows or do you have to pay for the whole she-bang?

It's possible...they have wristbands that are sold for $10 or $15. However, those with the various SXSW badges (which are now going for $400+) get first dibs on venue entry, so if it's a small place, you may not be able to get in.

I am very excited about attending this event on a yearly basis, once i am not young and adventurous to go to Coachella/Glastonbury type shows.
