Has anyone mentioned Sugar? If not, they deserve a nod. Copper Blue was excellent I thought.

Can we keep this thread a non-flaming one please? It's a good one so no need to attack those with differing music tastes of yourself (even though I happen to agree with you!!)

Mudhoney - Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge

An underrated gem from the Mudhoney catalog.

Those of you that were alive in the 90's really bought (and played the hell out of):

 Pearl Jam - 10
Jane's Addiction - Ritual De Lo Habitual
 Beastie Boys - Ill Communication
Cowboy Junkies - The Trinity Sessions
Counting Crows - August and Everything After...
 Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream
 Fugees - The Score
REM - Automatic for the People
Oasis - What's the Story Morning Glory
 The Verve - Urban Hymms
 U2 - Auchtung Baby

And because I'm from So Cal I'll also readily admit to also playing the hell out of...

 Social Distortion - Social Distortion
 No Doubt - Tragic Kingdom
 Dr. Dre - The Chronic
i'll give you the Counting Crows, Jane's Addiction and U2  but no Fugees, Pumpkins, Beasties or PJ on my end.

I guarantee i listen to "It's A Shame About Ray" more times in high school than any of those 4 bands combined.

I dont really know what to say about Tragic Kingdom, but i did meet Gwen Stefani once while i was hooking school on Queen St. in Toronto at a record store...1994 i believe...

I am pretty sure The Chronic was played everywhere, and I admit to listening to every thing on your list more than once other than Janes Addiction (never liked them, still dont), Acuhtung Baby and replace Ill Communication (which was a total frat boy album at AU) with Check Your Head

I came back to this board to talk about music subscription services and devices to play them at home (another thread), but just had to weigh in here for a quick second.

Back in the day when I used to post here a lot (late 1990s!), we did a thread on the best albums of the 90s.  I voted the Cocteau Twins' Heaven or Las Vegas as the best from that decade, and that assessment still applies.

Anyone here from the old days?  Nathan?  Maddy?  Sorry, I'm forgetting so many of the other names of regular posters.  We had a lot of good things to say back then, that's for sure!
