When was the last time Garbage or Smashing Pumpkins only sold 600-900 tickets to a show priced at $25? Seriously?

It's a potential article.  I'm bouncing some ideas around in my head, and am going to look to some of the fans on some of these bands' forums for some additional input.  I'm not sure what exactly is there... it's sort of a rough idea right now.

I know the last time Garbage came through they did two sold out shows at $25 each night so that's 1,100 people right there. Hell even Billy Corgan solo had more than 600-900 people and was $25 if I remember corrrectly.

heres a better question. How long would you have to spare-change in your neighborhood to buy a pair of $25 concert tickets?  Remember to include service charges.
